The Texas Tribune just reported it, team.

“The fight in several Texas cities to decriminalize marijuana has entered a new phase, as some city leaders have rebuffed voter-approved rules that largely end criminal enforcement against having small amounts of the substance.”

It’s true: after Ground Game Texas passed all FIVE of our initiatives this fall, some conservative lawmakers are hell-bent on overturning the will of voters. But we’re fighting like hell to make sure their vote is respected.

Can you chip in $25 to help us defend the will of voters and ensure our initiatives to decriminalize marijuana are implemented in Texas? [[link removed]]

Team, Texas voters flocked to the polls this November to approve all five of our initiatives to decriminalize marijuana. These initiatives will prioritize scarce public safety resources on actual crime, instead of harassing and locking people up for low-level marijuana use.

But some Republican politicians are hell-bent on blocking these initiatives from going into effect, despite voters passing them by overwhelming numbers. We’re working hard to make sure they’re not successful – but this work does not come for free. Can we count on you to chip in to make sure the will of voters is respected and Republican politicians can’t overturn election results? [[link removed]]

Thank you,
