John,
I can't help but smile today. That's because President Biden just signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law!
After years of efforts, advocacy, and activism by the LGBTQ community and its allies, as well as a string of supportive court rulings, being able to marry the person you love is now federally protected.

Personally, this is particularly joyful, because my daughter Molly and her wife were able to be there to usher in this momentous victory. Here is a photo of the three of us!

It was truly an exhilarating day for all of us, especially because earlier this year, I was able to watch my daughter marry the love of her life in our backyard in Chester County. As you can imagine, it was a joyous day for our whole family.

Before I even decided to serve my community in Congress, I've been committed to fighting for the LGBTQ community. So, I am so proud that my colleagues and I were finally able to get this important legislation passed. I know how much this means to families and their loved ones across the country. As always, I will continue fighting in the upcoming congressional term, building a better future for all of us.
There is work to be done.
Chrissy
