Greetings from the PEAK team!

As 2022 comes to a close, we are reflective and filled with gratitude. Through a collective practice of expressing gratitude, we have been sharing how deeply meaningful and fulfilling we find our work at PEAK. We appreciate the equity-centered values of our organization, a vision and mission that empowers change and changemakers, and most of all, the inspiration we get from you and our community every day.

This year, we have accomplished so much together. Our community has continued to grow, now with over 7,000 colleagues across the philanthropy sector. Our chapters continue to host gatherings centered on topics of the utmost importance to the sector and our community, like collecting and using demographic data, advancing equitable practices, knowledge management, being a change leader, and innovative grant reporting. We released two groundbreaking editions of the Journal, Driving Racial Equity in Philanthropy and PEAK’s Emergent Learning Playbook. Our peer groups found their stride and are meeting consistently to build transformational relationships. We also completed our first pilot mentorship program with the PEAK Northeast chapter, hosted and coached more than 100 professionals through a revamped Grants Management 101 program, and brought a thousand members together at PEAK2022 Online. With your support, our influence is broadening, and our messages are resonating. Most important, we are
leading the way in operationalizing equitable, effective grantmaking practices together.

We are looking forward to taking a deep pause over the next few weeks to focus on rest, relaxation, and reflection—and we hope that you find time and space to do the same. Our offices will be closed from December 22 through January 2, and we look forward to reconnecting with you in the new year, energized by the opportunities ahead.
