Dear Friend,

Every year, emergencies arise that require our immediate attention. Even while we continue to represent hundreds of clients in complicated legal matters, we must still be ready to respond to the unexpected in times of uncertainty and crisis. And because of supporters like you, we are always ready to meet those new challenges. And this year, our donor network helped us to do something truly remarkable.

Thanks to caring people like you, we were able to launch an emergency project to protect Afghan refugees, resettling 29 LGBTQ people safely to Canada!

We also:

  • Represented an additional 35 more Afghans fighting to find safety.
  • Liberated dozens of LGBTQ asylum seekers who were detained in prisons by ICE.
  • Fought the use of Title 42 expulsions, a pandemic related health law wrongly used to deny asylum to LGBTQ refugees.

Over the years, generous supporters have helped us pivot time and time again to meet emergent needs. From fighting last minute anti-immigrant legislation to representing survivors of the Pulse nightclub, you’ve made sure we can help when disaster strikes.

That is why we are proud to introduce the:
Immigration Equality Urgent Action Fund.

Gifts made now through the next two weeks (until the end of the year) will support the Urgent Action Fund for 2023. Through it, we will ensure that Immigration Equality is ready when extreme need or unexpected opportunity arises for LGBTQ immigrants in the year to come.

Will you support the action fund by making a gift?

Thank you for joining us in this fight, Friend!

In gratitude,

Jaime Bayo, Development Director
