Legal.

But federal legislation doesn’t have to start from scratch. In fact, Colorado has built a strong framework on this very issue! That’s why we introduced the PREPARE Act, our bill to establish a transparent process to legalize marijuana nationwide — one that mirrors Colorado’s framework.

When Colorado became one of the first states to legalize marijuana in 2012, we had to create our own process to regulate this budding market. And guess what? It was a HUGE success. So much so that 10 years later, states looking to legalize marijuana still look to our playbook for tips.

Here’s the truth: Legalization presents a HUGE opportunity for job growth AND gives us the opportunity to remedy the racial injustices caused by marijuana criminalization. We can’t blow it.
