I'm excited to let you know that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has awarded the Sacramento County Health Department over $15 million in funding to improve our region's public health infrastructure and strengthen our ability to recruit and retain public health care workers.
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of having a public health infrastructure that can prevent, detect, and respond to emerging health threats.
As a doctor, I am proud to help secure $15 million in funding to help Sacramento County improve our health care services to keep our communities safe and healthy.
