This week was full of firsts for me. On Monday, I announced my first round of grants to the district - I’m thrilled to hit the ground running and secure $100,000 for emergency service organizations in my community.
 
As an emergency physician and now state representative-elect, I know how critical it is to have the right tools for the job and that in an emergency, every second counts.
 
On Wednesday, I signed my first prime-sponsorship memo, introducing a bill to strengthen Megan’s law and protect children in our communities.
 
This is the work I promised to do in Harrisburg - and I’m hitting the ground running. Meanwhile, the Republicans spent the week suing to delay special elections - extending a political crisis and disenfranchising our neighbors and community. They are afraid of the voters, and every Pennsylvanian and American should fear what other voices they will silence.
