John,

As one of the co-chairs of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, Barbara continues to be a leading advocate in Congress for delivering meaningful action on cannabis reform.

Earlier this year, she stood with her Cannabis Caucus Co-Chair, Rep. Earl Blumenauer, to pass The Medical Marijuana and Cannabidiol Research Expansion Act.

This legislation, which was recently signed into law by President Biden, will make it easier to study the impact and benefits of cannabis and will help guide Barbara's efforts to improve our federal cannabis laws.

This is a major step in our fight toward addressing the failed War on Drugs, which has led to historical injustices disproportionately impacting Black and brown communities for decades.

John, ahead of tonight’s mid-month fundraising deadline, will you chip in to help Barbara continue fighting to pass critical legislation like The Medical Marijuana and Cannabidiol Research Expansion Act?

This year we proved that the strength of our progressive movement is unmatched. I am confident that no matter what plans the GOP has to undermine our democracy, we can overcome it together.

Thank you,

Team Barbara Lee
