Joe Manchin is back with his dirty deal – a deal with oil and gas lobbyists to fast track fossil fuel projects that would continue exploiting and destroying our communities.

And today, President Biden backed it up – not just leaving the young people who won the midterms behind, but leaving behind frontline, low income, Black and brown communities across the country.

After our generation won the midterms, he quickly abandoned us. This is a massive blow to Biden’s legacy on climate.

To be clear, Manchin’s Dirty Deal was designed by and for the fossil fuel industry to make it easier and faster to get permits for fossil fuel projects.

It would both make it easier for oil and gas companies to force their projects through, and would allow for the construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline, a disastrous fossil fuel project that frontline communities have been fighting back for years.

That’s why it’s so important for us to fight in solidarity with and protect these communities that have always borne the brunt of the crisis and suffered from the reign of fossil fuels.

Our vision of the future does not include more pipelines. Our vision of the future does not leave any communities behind. Our vision is free of fossil fuels.
