We have been telling you the dangers of the growing anti-2nd Amendment politicians in Springfield. Now they proved us right when they filed HB5855 with the full support of the most anti-gun Governor this state has ever seen, Gov. Pritzker.

The proposed legislation, which could be voted on as soon as January, would ban many common semi-automatic pistols, rifles, and shotguns along with any magazine with a capacity greater than 10 rounds, including any magazine for your handguns. The legislation will also prevent any person under 21 from receiving a FOID card unless they are in the military.

The anti-gun crowd’s agenda has always been to incrementally peal back the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Illinois citizens. HB5855 forces you to register many common firearms with the government, including those already owned.  Registration is always a prelude to confiscation.

There will be no negotiations on this piece of legislation, and the ISRA Legal Assistance Committee will see the State of Illinois in court should this bill be enacted into law.
