As we approach the holiday season, I wanted to reach out and thank you for standing with us this year. We have had a very successful year, and we couldn’t have done any of it without your support. It means the world to all the Parkland families and me to see folks like you sharing our commitment to making our nation's schools safer. Since my beloved daughter Gina Montalto was one of the 17 murdered in the 2018 Parkland, FL school massacre, putting an end to mass shootings and keeping schools safe has become my life’s work.

In the past 4 years since we founded Stand with Parkland, we have been able to work with leaders on both sides of the aisle to bridge political divides and pass crucial legislation, most notably this year’s federal Bipartisan Safer Communities Act – a landmark bill that makes the most significant progress on school safety and responsible firearm regulations in decades, including major investments in school security and mental health resources and expansions of background checks, red flag laws and more.

This year may have been an especially successful year for our organization, but our work will not stop until no more schools experience firearm violence again.
