Hi Friend, There’s often a cost for having the courage to do what’s right. Few know that better than Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis, Jr. In 1963, he went to work as the North Carolina youth coordinator for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In the years to come, he’d be unjustly arrested 67 times as he carried on the legacy of Dr. King’s struggle for justice. Time and again, Dr. Chavis lost the two most precious things we have in this life: time and freedom. But he never lost his belief in the rightness of his cause, the goodness of his fellow Americans, and his optimism that our nation could deliver on its founding promises of liberty and equality. Now, Dr. Chavis will continue his life’s work as a national co-chair of No Labels. Friend, you’re invited to a special virtual event on January 22, 2023, to meet Dr. Chavis and to hear why he so passionately supports No Labels’ work to bolster leaders with the courage to put our country before their political party. Dr. Chavis will be joined by special musical guests, current No Labels co-chair Sen. Joe Lieberman, No Labels’ House and Senate allies, as well as citizen leaders from across America. As No Labels enters the most pivotal year in its history, January 22 will be a special gathering you will not want to miss. |
