John,

Congress' lame duck session ends on January 3, which means that this is the last opportunity to pass any meaningful immigration reform before the Republicans take control of the House in the new year. The clock is ticking — we must demand that our leaders push for a pathway to citizenship immediately before it’s too late.

If Congress continues to delay tangible action toward securing a pathway to citizenship, they’re denying humane care and protection for people like me. As a DACA recipient, I’ve been waiting for life-changing immigration legislation for my entire life only to be sorely disappointed.

Tell Congress We Need a Pathway to Citizenship!

After living precariously throughout the Trump administration, always planning life within two-year increments, I and so many others expected the Biden administration to enact immigration reform that would finally protect our families, allowing us to live without fear of separation. Year after year, we’ve been met with empty promises instead of action. We refuse to be disappointed any longer.

Being a DACA recipient is not the only thing that defines me. I’m a daughter, a sister, a student, an immigrant rights advocate, a lover of my community, and a New Yorker through and through. I deserve the stability and security that only a pathway to citizenship can provide, and so does each one of the 11 million people living in the United States without any legal status. We need Congress to act immediately on creating a pathway to citizenship. Will you make your voice heard?

¡Sí se puede!
