Double Your Impact For The Oceans
With Sea Shepherd's Matching Gift Challenge

Dear John,

Thank you for your support of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society over recent years. We are excited to share that the entire Board has established a $500,000 matching gift challenge that will double all donations made before midnight on December 31st.

Since our last newsletter, there has been significant activity in our fleet and campaigns. On December 5, a senior Sea Shepherd delegation met with the Mexican Navy to chart an even more ambitious 2023 in Operation Milagro. As you know, we started this year’s Milagro earlier than ever, our partnership with the Navy is actually preventing illegal fishing from taking place, and all of this means more impact in defense of the Vaquita Porpoise; the most endangered marine mammal on Earth. Our new ship Seahorse got significant upgrades for Operation Milagro, traversed the Panama Canal, and is now in Mazatlan about to help protect the Vaquita Porpoise. The iconic Martin Sheen is heading in for repairs for its 2023 campaigns, and earlier this week the U.S. government announced a ban on New Zealand seafood as a result of the successful lawsuit brought by Sea Shepherd against the NZ government for its lack of protection of the Maui dolphin.

We are truly grateful to those that have already participated in the matching gift challenge. Your support has been indispensable to these victories and our success on behalf of endangered wildlife. With you at our side, we remain vigilant on the frontlines, protecting endangered species in some of the most fragile ecosystems on earth. As we say in Sea Shepherd, poachers never sleep, and neither do we.

Thank you, as always, and we wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.

For the Oceans,

The Captains, Crews, Staff, Board and VolunteersSea Shepherd Conservation Society
