I could not be prouder of the work that WCV, our community, and you have done to continue to build on the Evergreen Future Platform this year.

We used Evergreen Future as a tool to push elected officials to take up equitable, environmental policy during legislative session and a clear guide for what we expect from candidates running for State House and Senate during election season.

We endorsed candidates from all over Washington this year that have bold plans for environmental action and environmental justice. And now with many of them taking office we are excited to work alongside them and the rest of the environmental community to put those plans into action during legislative session.

Champions like Senator Sharon Shewmake, and Representatives Dave Paul, Councilmember Chris Stearns and more won their races and we are looking forward to the working alongside them as we head into a critical time for our state in January.

These candidates could not have engaged in dynamic campaigns if not for the support of members and activists like you. Now we need to support them as they pass laws and create a state budget that will take us closer to the green, equitable future that we deserve.
