Match Deadline: MIDNIGHT TOMORROW

New Audubon research found that half of the birds throughout our nation’s refuge system will see changes in the environmental suitability of their habitats if global temperatures are allowed to rise unchecked. This is a sobering reminder: There will be no safe space left for vulnerable birds like the Tundra Swan if the wildlife refuges are decimated by climate change.

If we want to ensure a brighter future for birds and their habitats, we need to be steadfast in their defense—not just today, but tomorrow, too. Please give them the protection they deserve with a donation today. Thanks to a group of generous donors, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000! ([link removed])

Safe places made less safe

The habitats that birds depend on are changing quickly.

Not all birds will be able to adapt.

Two-thirds of North American bird species are at increasing risk of climate extinction.

The National Wildlife Refuge System spans 95 million acres of land and also covers 760 million submerged lands and waters. With support from generous people like you, Audubon can work with decision-makers and land managers to ensure the System has adequate funding, and to expand the System to meet the needs of birds and people as they adapt to a changing climate.

This work wouldn’t be possible without bird lovers like you. Birds are counting on your support! Will you give an important gift today? Right now, it will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, to provide protection that birds are counting on. ([link removed])

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society
