Allow me to get right to the point – the National Urban League has not yet reached our financial goal in 2022 to allow us to start the New Year off in strength and power.

With 2 million Black and Brown individuals relying on us annually, we are calling on every empowered person to provide a “hand up” through a generous year-end gift. Can I count on you?

Because of our strong presence of 92 affiliates serving 300 communities across the nation, we remain on the pulse of local urban areas. That’s why we can provide individualized assistance to individuals like Bria, who had all but given up getting her G.E.D and going to college.

In a moment of desperation, an unexpected message reached Bria. “I had gotten a letter in the mail saying that I had signed up for the YouthBuild program,” Bria recalled. “Honestly, I didn’t remember signing up for the YouthBuild program. Two months later I came in.”

While she was hesitant about the program at first, Bria flourished – and her life changed FAST. Not only did she earned her GED, but she received the kind of mentorship that helped her rise above the mountain of obstacles between her and college.

 “They really taught me how not to give up… I can honestly say I would not have gone to college if it wasn’t for National Urban League.”
