Today, Americans United is celebrating Bill of Rights Day! In 1791, the first 10 amendments to the Constitution were ratified. That list, or bill, of rights helped protect citizens from an overly powerful government. The Bill of Rights has become, along with the Constitution it amended, the guardian of church-state separation and religious freedom.
