AG Nessel Responds to Court of Appeals Ruling Against Attorneys Involved in Frivolous Election Lawsuit |
|
LANSING - Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel released the following statement in response to U.S. Court of Appeals ? Tenth Circuit upholding sanctions against attorneys who took part in a previously-dismissed and frivolous lawsuit related to the 2020 presidential election that named Michigan officials as defendants.?
?I'm pleased that the Court has upheld the District Court decision in sanctioning the attorneys who continue to dispel falsehoods about the 2020 election,? said Nessel.??These baseless lawsuits harm the democratic foundation on which this country was built and attempt to?disenfranchise millions of Michigan voters. This ruling reaffirms that the rule of law prevails and that those who file such vexatious suits will be held accountable.???
