Dear John,
I have loved the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness since I was a child. Growing up in Ely, Minnesota, I took my first canoe trip at the age of two. I worked alongside my father, Bill Rom, in his outfitting business Canoe Country Outfitters, often guiding visitors on Boundary Waters trips to experience the wonder and natural beauty of canoe country. The Boundary Waters is America's Wilderness, and it belongs to everyone. There is no other place like it, and it deserves to be safeguarded forever.

We need your help to ensure that the Boundary Waters remains pristine for generations to come.
If the Boundary Waters is not permanently protected from sulfide-ore copper mining, this Wilderness will be constantly threatened. The water would be polluted, large areas of woods and wetlands would be destroyed, wildlife and fish would suffer, and this would no longer be a place to create everlasting memories. |
You can help. I’m asking you to make a gift today for the past, present, and future generations that will cherish this special place. |
