Powerful interests — fossil fuel giants, Big Pharma, the NRA, you name it — have a very handy tool at their disposal: piles and piles of money.

They use their money to fund campaigns for politicians who ask “How high?” when they say “Jump.” They use their money to hire armies of lobbyists that swarm Capitol Hill. They use their money to put government on their side, all so they can make even bigger piles of money.

But we’ve got a powerful tool on our side too: a grassroots movement. And we’re delivering results.

Side by side, in 2018, 2020, and 2021, we took back the House. We flipped the White House. We won the Senate. And we used that power to beat those powerful interests and make real change for working people, including:

-The biggest-ever American investment in fighting climate change, which will help reduce carbon emissions by 40% by 2030.
-The first-ever authorization for Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices — and a guaranteed $35 cap on monthly insulin costs for people on Medicare.
-The first federal gun safety legislation in decades.

Not to mention, canceling student debt and lowering costs for hearing aids by thousands of dollars.

By fighting and winning for working people, Democrats also defied just about everyone’s expectations at the ballot box this year. For the first time since FDR, we gained Senate seats and governors’ mansions in a midterm election under a Democratic president. And even though we lost the House, it was a zillion times closer than pundits predicted. We’ll stay in the fight to flip it back in 2024.
