Happy New Year and welcome to 2020! I'm so grateful to have you on our squad and am excited for all the amazing work we're going to do together this year.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is in just a few weeks and to honor his memory and commitment to service, we're calling on you to join us in celebrating the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. by heading into your communities to help friends, family, and neighbors register to vote.
We already have thousands of people across the country signed up to be leaders in their community as Voting Squad Captains and to register voters at MLK Day service events, but we need your help to reach our ambitious goals for 2020. There are so many ways you can get involved!
You can register voters at a busy location in your community or integrate voter registration into a service activity you plan to attend for MLK Day of Action. Either way, we provide you all the support, training, and tools you'll need to register voters.
Our January Day of Action is coming up soon -- will you sign up to help register voters for MLK Day?
Once you've signed up, you'll receive more information from us on how to get started registering voters, including our Voter Registration Action Guide, which introduces you to the When We All Vote voter registration tool and gives guidance on how to have conversations around voting.
We know it can be intimidating to get started, so we hope this toolkit will arm you with all the information you need to feel confident registering voters in your community.
