This isn't the email we hoped to send today, but we've always been honest with you.
We're making progress on our mid-month $12,423 fundraising goal, but we're still facing a major gap between where our numbers currently stand and hitting the goal by midnight tomorrow. If we're going to reach our goal, we need you — and hundreds of other supporters to step up.
So, is there anything we can say to move you to make your first contribution to support Summer today?
What if we told you that on January 3, Summer will be sworn into the House of Representatives as the first Black woman to ever represent Pennsylvania in Congress? We need to have her back as she makes history!
What if we told you that Summer has big plans in Congress — from passing the PRO Act and expanding workers' rights to passing Medicare for All and a Green New Deal? She's counting on our progressive movement to advocate for the change we need alongside her.
What if we told you that Republicans will control the House next term and have power over what committees Summer is assigned to and what legislation is voted on? With the GOP in charge, we need to be prepared to fight back against any attacks that come our way.
And what if we told you what we raise before tomorrow's deadline will show up on our public FEC report? We'll close the books on Q4 after December 31, and everyone will be looking to see our numbers.
$5 may not seem like a lot of money when we're up against corporate PACs — but thanks to grassroots donations of $5 (or more!) we proved the people have the power in our historic win. Now we're going to do it again… and again… and again.
