Last week, we succeeded in keeping Manchin’s dirty deal out of the House’s
draft annual defense spending bill (NDAA).

This is thanks to the tremendous grassroots pressure we’ve mobilized over
the past few months, and especially the last couple of weeks against this
deal.

But unfortunately, this fight is not over. Senator Manchin is now trying
to find another vehicle for the dirty deal either through:

* An amendment to the NDAA when it comes to the Senate, or
* By attaching it to an end-of-year spending bill

Machin’s deal would allow big polluting oil and gas companies to more
easily force through dirty, dangerous fossil fuel projects in any
neighborhood and community where they want to build them, limiting the
voice of the public in the process.

It would undermine our bedrock environmental laws, fast-track fossil
fuels, sacrifice frontline communities, and endanger public health. It
must be stopped.

can stop it again. Please make a call to your senators today and tell
them to block any legislation that includes Manchin’s dirty deal.
