Hi John,
The loss of Roe v. Wade and the rise of abortion bans across the country makes 2022 one of the worst years for abortion access in history. But young people met the moment - and continue to organize, innovate, and fight back.
Support our nation-wide network of young people working to ensure everyone has abortion access.
Advocates for Youth is proud and honored to host the Youth Abortion Support Collective (YouthASC), a one-thousand strong network of youth activists committed to building knowledge and expanding abortion access. YouthASC members share information about self-managed abortion, provide rides and housing for folks who need to travel for abortion care, become abortion doulas to support those who need care throughout the process, and much more.
Meanwhile, Advocates’ Abortion Out Loud activists are working to fight bans and pass policies that do support abortion access. These young people helped pass legislation in California and most recently in Massachusetts mandating state colleges and universities make medication abortion available to students in need. Youth activists have also secured these policies on individual campuses, like Barnard College. They’re working to urge legislators to bolster support for abortion, to fund travel for those traveling from other states, and to remove financial barriers to abortion.
Donate $50 to support youth activists fighting back against abortion bans!
The fight is a huge one and we face an uphill battle with limited access in many areas of the country. But young people know that abortion access is a fundamental necessity for health, personal autonomy, and dignity. They will never let access to abortion disappear in this country. I hope you will join me in working alongside them to fight back on bans and build abortion access.
Support us by giving $50 now to help protect access to abortion.
Thank you for your support,
Debra Hauser
