Snohomish County Launches Grant Program for Flood Risk Reduction ProjectsSnohomish County is releasing a Flood Risk Reduction grant application to fund projects that mitigate harms posed by potential flooding, with?a focus on projects that preserve housing, small businesses, and meet the needs of disproportionately impacted populations. The grant is funded by the County?s federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation. The County?s Flood Risk Reduction grant seeks capital construction projects that mitigate the risk of river and coastal flooding as well as planning and design projects that prepare for future flood mitigation construction projects. Interested organizations can access the grant?here.?Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on January 27, 2023. The County will also host one remote technical assistance session for interested applicants; attendance at this session is strongly recommended. The session will take place on January 5, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Interested applicants can access the upcoming session on?this website.
