Dear Friend,
Thanks to our supporters, our work is having a real impact on safe water access.
Recent evidence shows water treatment reduces the odds of all causes of child death by ~25%. This drives our efforts to double our Dispensers for Safe Water footprint by next year to reach 9 million people – over 10% of Uganda’s population and over 15% of Malawi’s.
By mid-2023, there will be three times as many chlorine dispensers across Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi as there are Starbucks in the US.
To celebrate this expansion, our staff marched with national ministers, local government officials, and community members – complete with marching bands!
We’re also launching in-line chlorination, a next-generation safe water solution to cost-effectively reach even more communities. It provides automatic chlorination, eliminating the need for behavior change and translating to extremely high adoption rates - meaning many more people can benefit from improved health.Â
Scaling this solution has begun in Malawi – and your support can help us launch in Uganda and Kenya. Two billion people globally still lack access to safely managed water – and we know that safe water improves child survival and reduces medical costs for poor families.
Will you join us to provide cost-effective safe water access?
Onwards together,Â
Paul Byatta
