in a letter sent Thursday to Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director Dr.
Mark Calabria, expressed concerns that credit unions are being disadvantaged by
the government-sponsored enterprises' pricing methodology.

in-depth reviews of credit unions' Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance, cybersecurity
processes, and preparation for the current expected credit loss (CECL) standard
are expected during NCUA examinations this year, according to the agency's

issues simplified Supervisory Committee Guide
A new, streamlined Supervisory
Committee Audit Guide has been released by the NCUA. The guide comes as the replacement
of the previously decommissioned Supervisory Committee Guide. NAFCU supported
a simplified guide when it was proposed and pushed for the decommissioned guide
to remain on the NCUA's website as a resource for credit unions.

auto loans boost consumer credit
While total consumer credit rose 3.6
percent in November (seasonally-adjusted, annualized) and is up 4.5 percent from
a year ago, NAFCU Chief Economist and Vice President of Research Curt Long flagged some unusual data.
