John,
The writing is on the wall. Conservative-led courts will not protect immigrant young people and the DACA program will not survive these attacks.
Congress cannot wait -- if they don’t take action in the next 3 weeks, DACA will end on their watch.
In January, when the new majority takes control of the U.S. House, our immigrant communities won’t be a priority for them. That’s why Congress must ACT NOW to deliver a path to citizenship to immigrant youth before the end of the year.
Millions of lives are at stake! Rush a message to Congress demanding they pass citizenship legislation for DACA recipients NOW!
SIGN & SEND
Denying undocumented communities a pathway to citizenship is holding us back from having a thriving society where everyone is valued. With lives on the line, there is absolutely no justification in delaying a pathway to citizenship and providing critical relief to millions of immigrants right now.
According to a Quinnipiac poll, 83% of Americans support a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth.
DACA recipients have been in a state of legal limbo for years now, going from one court case to another, never knowing if they will lose their work permits and protections from deportations. More than 1.3 million people live with a DACA recipient, including 300,000 U.S.-born children who have at least one parent with DACA status.
Not passing citizenship legislation means that families and communities will be torn apart, and children will grow up without one, or both, of their parents. The House has passed legislation that the Senate has a responsibility to take up. Join the thousands of supporters in calling on Congress to pass citizenship legislation!
Congress cannot continue to kick the can on this. Congress must pass citizenship this year and give millions of people the sense of relief, knowing that their families won’t be torn apart.
Thank you for all you do to support vulnerable communities,
Deborah Weinstein Executive Director, Coalition on Human Needs
