Democrats in the House and Senate were not going to wait around for the Trump-packed Court to destroy marriage equality like they did the right to choose. They took urgent and necessary action to guarantee federal protection for the right to marry for all by passing the Respect for Marriage Act.
And today, President Biden signed it into law.
THIS is why elections matter. When we elect great leaders, we can pass important legislation like this.
