John – you're going to want to know about this breaking news!
As reported now by several outlets, Talking Points Memo has received text messages from Mark Meadows leading up to the January 6th Insurrection.
Some of those included in the messages are the same names, the usual suspects, that plague the news cycle due to their loyalty to Donald Trump:
Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, Jody Hice, and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
While their transgressions are not entirely new, the blatant hypocrisy and lawlessness are what have made more rounds in the news as of this weekend.
All of the Representatives listed above are also on the same list of representatives that voted against awarding the Capitol Police officers, those that defended against the January 6th mob, Congressional Gold Medals.
So, not only do these people lie under oath, skirt testimony, and avoid responsibility for their roles in the attempted coup, but they also use their votes to punish those that protected the country from that very same horrific event. This, of course, comes from the same party that uses the slogan of “Blue Lives Matter,” until they try to stop them from storming the halls of Congress.
The depravity of the MAGA GOP has no bounds – they are not loyal to country, or to the religious moral prospects they use as a soapbox, they are only loyal to Donald Trump. The sanctity of the vote, the electoral process, and the security of the lives of lawmakers are no roadblock for them – they will tear down everything if given the chance.
We as a people, and as a country, have had more than enough warning signs. With every new detail, every instance of pressure and support for the events of January 6th, we learn that the same people were involved – over and over.
