Our right to same-sex marriage is now federal law. 

President Biden just took historic action and signed the bipartisan Respect for Marriage Act into law -- meaning our right to same-sex marriage is much safer.

Because of leadership from Democrats in Congress, activists, and voters such as yourself, the LGBTQ+ community and interracial couples can live with the certainty that they can marry who they love.

But our work is not done. GOP leaders will continue to threaten the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, so we’ve got to keep up our fight.

The Respect for Marriage Act is even more evidence of the power that young voters hold. Young people showed up to vote in progressives up and down the ballot this election season, and we’re now seeing them show up for us in Congress.

And while this bill is a step in the right direction, there’s still much more to be done. Congress must continue to fight for LGBTQ+ rights across the board.
