Mohamed checking back in here. Wanted to make sure you saw my email last week with our exciting news: our staff going to Umrah!

I can't help but point to the similarities between the political polarization today and the polarization throughout the time of the Prophet (ﷺ). Economic injustice reigned, usury was rampant, and wealth was held in the hands of the few. Today, our state of affairs is also filled with polarizing political tribalism.

This is why we have decided to take our staff for Umrah, where we will spend four days each in Medina and Makkah and will visit over 40 sites. We hope to come out of this trip better equipped to handle the various challenges in political organizing in this country, and with a more pure and open heart that will be more receptive to Allah's light.
