The Building Blocks of STEM Act, my first bill to pass the Senate, has officially been signed into law. I am thrilled that this legislation will now expand opportunities in STEM education for our students and take important steps to empower girls and finally close the STEM gender gap.

This bipartisan achievement demonstrates what happens when our leaders put partisanship aside and focus on making progress for the American people and fighting for their future.
