Background
Senate Concurrent Resolution 47 and House Concurrent Resolution 110, sponsored by bipartisan coalitions in each chamber, puts Congress on the record in support of Iranian protesters and in opposition to Iran’s brutality. The resolutions call on the administration to take further actions to stand with the protesters and “[commends] the bravery, courage, and resolve of the women and men of Iran demonstrating in more than 80 cities and risking their safety to speak out against the Iranian regime's human rights abuses.”
