Dear John,

Do you remember what California was like when it was truly Golden?

It was the edge of an amazing continental experiment in liberty . . . a place where people came from all over the world to realize their vision of the American Dream.

California was the place to be — for mining, music, technology, farming, movies, higher education, the beach, manufacturing, quality of life, and simple freedom.

Look around today, as 2022 shuffles off the stage, and what do we see?

Homeless encampments. Schools suffocated by the mediocrity machine known as the teachers’ union. Criminals unpunished while law-abiding folk are bullied and beggared by an obscenely expensive (and expansive) Nanny State.

These and many more problems are why so many are asking:

Is California a lost cause?

Not while people like you support the California Policy Center’s work to advance education reform, workplace freedom, and honest, constitutional government in the Golden State.

California Policy Center was founded a decade ago to restore the California Dream so that people of any background can find a place to exercise their talent, energy, and ingenuity.

As this year comes to an end, will you renew your greatly appreciated partnership with CPC by making a tax-deductible gift of $50, $100, or even $250 or more today? ([link removed])

John, it’s time to Take Back California.

Contrary to popular belief, we Californians are not satisfied by the status quo.

In fact, recent elections show that Californians generally vote for freedom and common sense on policy issues.

The obstacle is government unions. Each year, the unions tax government workers — they call it “dues” — and spend the nearly $800 million haul on politics.

In fact, they outspend all others — business, individuals, and trade unions — combined.

The purpose of these expenditures? To promote disastrous policies and political candidates that have given California . . .

* The highest cost of living in the nation
* A failed public school system
* Highest-in-the-nation taxes and rising government debt
* Nonsensical regulations that harm the poor
* Homelessness, wildfires, water shortages, and electricity blackouts

This can’t continue.

John, your tax-deductible gift of $50, $100, or even $250 or more today gives my team the momentum to push forward education reform, workplace freedom, and constitutional government in California in 2023.

Taking Back California starts with you and me, today. Let’s go!

Thank you!

I’M IN! LET’S TAKE BACK CALIFORNIA! ([link removed])

For freedom,

Will Swaim
President, California Policy Center
