Our former scholar turned UCLA peer mentor Issa, led this project with CBS. He interned with the company while at Chapman University. The piece showcased a unique element of First Star: the relationships formed among our scholars and staff AND between current and former youth in care through our youth coaches.
The Helping Hands Concert & Auction
First Star CEO Lyndsey C. Wilson will take the stage at the Helping Hands Concert & Auction at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, on Friday, December 16th. This Metallica Benefit concert hosted by Jimmy Kimmel will be streamed live on Paramount+ and simulcast on Pluto and MTV's YouTube channel.
Metallica's All Within My Hands Foundation works with partners around the world to combat food insecurity, provide funds in areas of natural disaster, and support educational programs like First Star.
