John,
My name is Rita Peters and I’ve been serving as the Senior Vice President for Legislative Affairs for seven years now.
I don’t typically send out these types of emails... but today I made an exception.
With the holidays quickly approaching, I know it’s easy to push things off until the New Year, but it’s important that you know this information now.
In the first few weeks of January 2023, a whopping 43 state legislative sessions will commence! In some of those states, our Convention of States Resolution has already been filed.
That means that state legislators could begin voting on our Resolution in a matter of weeks. Strategically, it’s in our best interest to move things forward as close to the opening of the session as possible.
As state legislators see their sister states lining up to stand against federal tyranny, they are emboldened to do likewise.
We’ve learned through experience that the later in the season it gets, the more difficult it is to pass legislation as state budgets and other issues weigh heavy on the agenda.
That’s why we’re planning to make BIG moves in the first few weeks of January.
We’re giving you a free copy of the Winter Edition of the Convention Courier so you can review all the updates first-hand!
