Groundwork's grantees are battling decades of conservative infrastructure built to dilute and diminish their power. Dismantling these deeply rooted systems and uplifting progressive, local champions won’t happen overnight, but it’s not impossible. In fact it is our responsibility.

Within my role at Groundwork I am often a main point of contact for our partners. Every day I end work in awe of the programs they are running, the impact they are making, and how their Groundwork grant is helping them push their efforts to the next level in places the Democratic establishment has written off and overlooked.

Luckily, we’re not going anywhere and our partners are putting in the time and work to change the political landscape. But right now, we’re facing a budget gap and we only have until midnight to raise another $4,629 to stay on the right track as we head into the new year.
