On December 2, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Jackie Walorski Maternal and Child Home Visiting Reauthorization Act (H.R. 8876). Thanks to the hard work of advocates like you, we witnessed a strong showing of bipartisan support for this bill, culminating in a 390-26 vote in favor of reauthorizing federal Maternal, Infant, Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) funding.
Now, reauthorization of MIECHV moves on to the Senate. Without urgent Congressional action, funding for these critical home visiting service will expire on December 16, 2022. |
Contact your Senators today and urge them to build on the tremendous bipartisan momentum set by their colleagues in the House by including MIECHV-reauthorization funds in their final year-end funding package. Thank you for joining Start Early, our partners and families across the country in getting this critical legislation across the finish line. |
