Hi Friend, The comment period for the Biden administration’s proposed restrictions on independent contracting comes to a close TONIGHT, December 13 at 11:59 p.m. ET.   If enacted, the results would be devastating for more than 60 million freelancers and self-employed professionals. They could be reclassified as employees even though they overwhelmingly oppose such a status change — they don’t want to lose their income, flexibility, or livelihoods. Today is the last day to oppose these job-killing regulations. SUBMIT YOUR COMMENT The proposed rule is cribbed from California’s disastrous AB5 law, which has had devastating impacts on professionals across the state — content creators, tutors, event planners, and even Santa.   The Biden administration will stop at nothing until California’s hardship becomes a national experience.  Time is running out! You have until 11:59 p.m. ET to tell Biden’s Department of Labor that you OPPOSE the proposed independent contractor rule and urge them to PROTECT America’s independent workforce from being reclassified and canceled.
