Hello,

Geelong Mums is founded on the idea that anything is possible when our community comes together to support families in need. 

We tap into the kindness that exists within people — that desire to help, to rally around those who are struggling or in crisis and provide them with whatever they need to lift themselves back up again. 

Hayley* experienced this kind of support earlier this year. She didn’t know she was pregnant until she was rushed to hospital – in labour.  

“The midwives were amazing. They did extra shifts, they stayed overtime, so I would have familiar faces around me,” she says. 

A social worker was called to support Hayley through this terrifying moment. And realising that Hayley wouldn’t have any essential baby items at home, the social worker called Geelong Mums for help. 

“These women just rallied around me. It was really incredible,” says Hayley. 

“Without them, I probably would've had a huge breakdown, wouldn't have been able to give my full attention to Daisy*.”

I’m so proud to belong to this community and I hope you are too.
