As a child growing up in Texas, Nadia saw family members struggle to find affordable housing. As an adult, she moved to San Francisco where she also struggled to find affordable housing. These experiences caused her to question why the housing shortage and affordability crisis have gotten so dire. They lead her to the YIMBY movement.
Nadia has been a YIMBY Action member since 2019, and has worked to spread the pro-housing movement in her community. She works with fellow YIMBY Action leads to support new homes, advocate for a fair and equitable housing plan in her community, and bring new people into the movement.
