John, before 2022 ends, an additional 13.6 million people will have been forced to flee everything they know due to violence, war and persecution. The global refugee crisis is particularly dangerous for children, who make up nearly half of the world’s refugees.

That’s why our sister organization, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN), is looking for 20,000 champions for children to show their support for these children and their families, and we’re counting on you to send a message to Congress before midnight: Please, will you join us by adding your name?

The war in Ukraine has displaced millions of children, including 8-year-old Antin.* He and his family had their lives uprooted overnight and fled to Romania to escape the conflict. Over time, they’ve begun to adjust to their new life far from home.

Your generosity has aided us in providing Antin* and his family cash voucher assistance to meet basic needs like food and medicine as well as mental health support and legal help regarding resettlement. But so many more families out there require assistance, and that’s why we’re asking you to speak out in support of them now.
