On December 9, the Census Bureau announced the beginning of data collection for phase 3.7 of the experimental Household Pulse Survey. The survey is an effort by the Census Bureau and other federal statistical agencies to provide near real-time data on how the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in social and economic conditions are affecting people’s lives to inform federal and state response and recovery planning.

Phase 3.7 includes new and updated questions.

The 2017-2021 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates are now available.

ACS data show over 40% of renter households in the United States spent more than 30% of their income on housing costs during the 2017-2021 period.

Today, we are celebrating Pennsylvania's 235th anniversary of statehood. On Sunday, December 11, we celebrated Indiana's 206th anniversary of statehood, and on Wednesday, December 14, we will celebrate Alabama's 203rd anniversary of statehood.

🔎 Did you know? Pennsylvania is the 32nd largest state by area and was the 2nd state to join the Union.

The state bird is the Ruffed Grouse.
