Economic Development
✅ The Department of Metropolitan Development and Develop Indy secured 64 successful projects, created and retained 8,500 jobs at an average pay over five times the minimum wage.
✅ Significant investments were made from industries including radiopharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, innovative engineering among others.
✅ Major projects included a $217 million investment by Rolls-Royce in advanced manufacturing and a $45 million investment by RayzeBio, a radiopharmaceutical company, to build their first R&D facility in Indianapolis.
Affordable Housing
✅ Amid a housing affordability crisis, the Hogsett Administration has utilized local, state and federal resources to interrupt displacement and expand affordable housing opportunities so that everyone, regardless of their income, is able to call Indianapolis home.
✅ With funding from the DMD, the Indianapolis Affordable Modification Program has supported homeowners in formerly redlined neighborhoods refinance mortgage debt.
✅ Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Indianapolis has provided $175 million in rental assistance to over 60,000 impacted residents.
✅ The Hogsett Administration has allocated $7.8 million to four permanent supportive housing projects for people recently experiencing homelessness.
Real Estate and Redevelopment
✅ In 2022, the City of Indianapolis released a historic amount of redevelopment opportunities on the market to help strengthen our businesses, make our neighborhoods more liveable and better utilize our land.
✅ Mayor Hogsett launched the Downtown Resilience Strategy with the goal of strengthening our downtown, and making it a better place for our residents and businesses.
