  • FIRST, I ran a four-month campaign in 2016 to unseat a 24-year incumbent and won. We won by focusing on jobs, security, and equality and on standing up to the NRA to put gun violence prevention front and center.
  • THEN, once I arrived in Washington, I quickly earned the title of one of the most effective members of Congress. How? I did this by always putting people over politics and working in a bipartisan way to get things done.
  • NOW, I’m running for re-election against SIX Republican opponents. All six oppose the progress we've made together. They want to let insurance companies deny coverage to Floridians with pre-existing conditions. They’d also prefer to collect campaign contributions from the NRA instead of doing something about our national gun violence epidemic.

Not if I have anything to say about it. Here’s my promise to you: As long as I’m in Congress, I’ll lead the charge to protect your health care and fight to pass commonsense gun safety laws.

Will you stand with me in 2020 and chip in to my re-election campaign? I refuse to let any of my six opponents flip this seat and reverse the hard-fought progress we’ve made in central Florida.
