Tell Congress to Honor the Victims of Post-9/11 Hate Crimes

A red hand on a black background with Stop Hate written on the palm.

Following the September 11 attacks in 2001, ignorance and hatred contributed to a record numbers of violent attacks. House Resolution 662 calls for the United States government to recognize these horrible crimes and honor the victims of hate crimes motivated by Islamophobia and anti-immigrant sentiment, where individuals were targeted by violence and hatred because they were Muslim or perceived to be Muslim.

The United States government honoring victims of hate crimes is crucial to upholding the human rights and dignity of all its citizens. This resolution recognizes all the positive contributions that have been made by Muslims, Sikhs, and those of South Asian descent in the United States, and condemns all manifestations and expressions of racism, xenophobia, discrimination, Islamophobic sentiment, scapegoating, and ethnic or religious intolerance, as these contradict the values held in the Constitution. Setting a precedent that ignorance is not to be tolerated is paramount to protecting the security of all Americans. NDRN unequivocally stands against hate in all its forms. Take action with us!
