Content warning: white supremacist violence
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
John,
We've emailed you before about the volume of threats and racist messages
directed at Cori every day, and on the heels of violence against Speaker
Nancy Pelosi's husband and countless others due to white supremacy, I
believe it's important to keep talking about.
Ignoring the danger of messages like this fuels our opponents, so today we
want to show you a few examples of the messages our office receives every
day:

I know these messages are jarring to read. But this is what Cori — and
many other progressive women of color in Congress face — and Black, brown,
Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and disabled communities face every day.
We know that when Fox News propagates violence against Cori on their
programs, saying things like "Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush...could
never have a job in the real world because she's not smart enough for a
real job," our office receives an increase in threats. The same is true
when Fox News and far-right leaders advocate violence against marginalized
communities.
We can draw a clear line from Fox News' propaganda and the hateful
statements made by white supremacist leaders to the violence carried out
at the recent Club Q shooting, Buffalo Tops supermarket shooting earlier
this year, and the 2019 Walmart shooting in El Paso.
It's dangerous to ignore this pattern. Fox News profits off of
misinformation, conspiracy theories, fear-mongering, and racism, so they
will continue to sell — and spread — this hateful speech far and wide,
inciting others to make threats and carry out violence.
Cori's not backing down from her work, and we're determined to show
everyone that we will not be intimidated by these attacks. We will not
slow down in our mission to pass policies to dismantle systemic racism in
America, lift ALL of our communities up, and address this violence.

Congress as she leads the fight to save Black lives and dismantle systemic
racism in our country? Your donation sends a loud message to white
supremacists that this movement isn’t slowing down.
