Hi John, Greg Casar here.
When I first announced my plan to run for Texas’ 35th congressional district, I knew that one of our biggest challenges would be rebuilding hope for Texans and working families across the country.
Amidst rising costs of living, mounting debts, environmental calamities, and the dismantlement of long-established rights and protections, I can’t blame families for feeling dissatisfied with the state of our country. But together, we shared our clear vision for the future — and started to rebuild that hope.
We won our campaign on an unapologetic, progressive platform — now we’re taking that collective energy to the halls of Congress.
The Working Families Party is helping lead this movement for hope. If I’ve learned anything from our fight together, it’s that our communities deserve a political home that can provide a headquarters for our struggle towards transformative change.
For more than two decades, the Working Families Party has been doing just that; organizing in our communities, in the halls of power, and alongside other movements of justice across our country to usher in a new generation of leaders who know our struggles, share our values, and will fight for our futures.
That's why I'm proud to be one of the thousands of WFP members nationwide who are coming together to invest in our collective power as working people, and forge an unstoppable coalition of activists, community leaders, candidates, and elected officials committed to building solutions that meet the scale of our crises.
Our movement may have won big on election night, but our fight is far from over. Please join me in becoming a dues-paying member of WFP or increasing your dues with a monthly contribution of $10 or more so we can elect more working families champions at every level of government in 2023 and beyond.
